EVENTS/ NEWS/HISTORY:

      - Freshman Orientation Day - This is an event that the team members will be able showcase the team and recruit new members that are entering the High school. this event went well and we were able to make some new recruits.

- Our kick off meeting -  was a complete success, we had a good turnout from the team members and were able to make so progress towards the fundraising efforts for the new year.

- First parents meeting - we recently had a meeting in the evening which was where the parents new and old could learn or refresh themselves about the team. Ed was able to do a very nice presentation explaining it all.

 - Recently the team had a stand selling popcorn set up at the farmers market in Woodbury for 3 total evenings. this was a great fundraiser which helped to start the next seasons fundraising efforts.

- Southbury celebration - this event was hugely successful and we had a good turn out of student members with a great display. the team managed to clear a good amount of money to put towards the registration for this year.

- On October 27th, 2008 officers were elected - the results of the election are as follows,

President - Laurence

Vice-President - John

Treasurer - Christina

Historian - Ed

Public Relations/ Fundraising - Ian
